Job profile
Job Functions:
· Identify and develop service provider customer relationships that drive a deep partnership with customers, Aricent assets within its Business Units.
· Leverage personal industry expertise and the collective strengths of the business units and Aricent corporate assets. Above all, focus on creating long-lasting customer relationships at various levels across Marketing, Technology, Operations, and IT organizations.
· Collaborate with the customer in endeavors that result in software, services, and solution offerings that support customers, and when possible, enhance customer’s products and/or services.
· Design and execute against a multi-year business plan that leverages the complete Aricent portfolio across strategic consulting, network consulting & systems integration (NCIS), data communications, value-added services, custom communications applications, experience engineering, BSS, OSS, and Managed Services business units.
· Create a balance of short-term and long-term Aricent solutions that are adopted and deployed in customer environments.
· Manage the sales opportunity funnel across Verizon sub-Accounts and business unit offerings.
· Organize proposal teams and work with business development units within Business Units to develop winning proposals and RFP responses.
· Manage and grow a profitable, effective high-performing accounts portfolio that exceeds revenue plan while supporting the broader Service Provider Segment for the Americas Region.
· Demonstrate success by developing a profitable partnership between Aricent and Service Provider customer-base, including but not limited to the defined success criteria of Bookings / Revenue commitment, Customer impact and overall Customer satisfaction.
· Based in the Dallas or NY/NJ metro area, could require up to 50% travel within the continental US.

Job Requirements
Experience:
· 7+ years for Sales Manager level (and 10+ years experience for Sales Director level) in sales & business development at senior levels of client organizations, i.e., very comfortable with Director and above relationships.

Required Skills:
· Prior experience selling into top-tier Wireline and Wireless service providers in North America. Sample tier-1 accounts would include Verizon (including Bell Atlantic, GTE, MCI, Alltel), AT&T (including SBC, Bell South, Cingular), IDT, Sprint, Qwest, T-Mobile, etc. with a preference to operating entities now part of Verizon.
· Strong oral & written communication skills using visual aids and graphical presentations.

Optional:
· Consultative selling with senior business & IT executives within the Information & Communication Sector.
· Experience selling software, services, and solutions is highly desired.
· Customer relationships at Verizon (and its subsidiaries) are a major plus. Relationships at other wireline, wireless, and cable service providers will be considered favorably.

Education:
· Bachelors Degree or equivalent from an accredited University.
· Masters degree or MBA preferred for Sales Director position but not necessary for exceptionally experienced individuals.
· Educational requirements will be waived for exceptionally experienced individuals.
