Job profile
The opportunity will be to provide technical leadership in developing an embedded system called as Home Dashboard (HD), which is a wall mounted touch screen based device and will be used for monitoring and managing the Home Area Network (HAN).
HD is the central system around which all the home network sensor elements like Smart Meter, Smart Appliances, Thermostat, Lighting sensors and Entertainment unites controller sensor to control TV, Music System, Home Theater etc will reside. These home network elements will be connected via radio network protocol like ZigBee, WiFI, 6LowPan etc..
Applications which are developed for HD will be such as Energy Consumption monitor, Forecast next month energy consumption, HAN node Manager and viewer, Policy Rules Setup application, Weather forecast application etc,,
Aricent’s primarily responsibility is to design, integrate various partners’ components, develop the complete application suites (around 32 applications) in different phases and has the complete ownership to deliver the HD to the end customer.
The highlighted opportunities for this job assignment are as follows:
• Willing to work Onsite(USA) with customers, partners and Frog Design for long term (at least 6 month)
• Participation in function specification and detailed design discussions with various partners and Frog design
• Opportunity to co-work with Frog Design for developing application visuals, wireframe etc.
• Reviewing technical documents of different modules as provided by different partners and sharing them feedbacks as a final system integrator by addressing different integration and platform issues
• Documentation of Functional Specification, detailed design, Test strategy etc,
• Working and validating different sensors in customer’s onsite LAB which are going to be integrated with the system
• Reviewing of artifacts and different deliverables as defined in SOW
• Working with large team and different partners to achieve various milestones
• Guiding off-shore team to implement, develop and integrate different modules as required for the final delivery.
Candidate profile required
Senior Technical Lead with hands on knowledge of Embedded System design and implementation of QT based Application. Also Interacts with customers to develop functional specifications for assigned portions, resolve design issues, for problem solving of difficult S/W Problems etc
